Marie-Pier Diamond
A young, self-taught and versatile filmmaker, Marie-Pier Diamond excels in directing, editing and director of photography. Being a determined go-getter, Marie-Pier is not afraid to take risks and instinctively knows how to create images rich in emotion. She is particularly good at thinking outside the box, being both creative and sensitive, and seeing beyond the established dictates to sign productions that stand out, whatever the mandate. Marie-Pier Diamond will earn her place among directors with inborn talent.
At 19 Marie-Pier Diamond entered the Studios Tapis Rouge school of theatre and cinema, not as a student, but as a teacher to teenagers, a position she held for four years. Meanwhile word of mouth, on top of her talent for imaging, helped her carve herself out a place on sets and leave her mark. She then quickly accumulated advertising and video clip contracts, such as Datsit Sphère inc., Le Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie, Isabelle Huot, GreyStripes, La Cité de l’Énergie, Frédéric Dion, UQAM and many others. Marie-Pier Diamond is one of a handful of enthusiastic young image professionals among the up-and-coming.
